Eduardo Gill-Pedro is a doctoral candidate at Lund University’s Faculty of Law. His research topic is the methodology of adjudication of fundamental rights in EU law, with a particular focus on the relationship between human rights and democratic legitimacy and on the relationship between fundamental rights in EU law, rights in the European Convention on Human Rights and rights in the national constitutional traditions of the member states. As well as research, Eduardo also teaches at Lund University on a range of subjects relating to EU Law and human rights law.
Prior to commencing his doctoral studies Eduardo worked as a legal advisor for the leading civil liberties organisation in the UK, dealing with matters concerning human rights under the European Convention on Human Rights and under national (English) law. He has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Essex an LLM in EU Law from the University of Stockholm, and is a (non-practicing) member of the Bar of England and Wales.
