Sarah Progin-Theuerkauf studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Fribourg. From 2003 to 2006, she was a research assistant and PhD student at the Institute for European Law of the University of Fribourg. After her legal clerkship at OLG Duesseldorf (2006-2008), she worked as a lawyer for a Zurich based law firm. Since 2009, she is Associate Professor for European Law and Migration Law at the University of Fribourg. She is also Co-Director of the Centre for Migration Law and project leader of a project on EU Migration Law in the framework of the NCCR-On the move, a national centre of excellence in research, based in Neuchâtel.
