Dr. Alexandra Giannopoulou is a postdoctoral researcher at the Blockchain and Society Policy Lab at the Institute for Information Law (IViR), University of Amsterdam. She is an associate researcher at the CNRS Centre for Internet and Society in Paris. Previously, she was a visiting researcher at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and at Stanford Law School. Her research focuses on intellectual property and the commons, privacy and data protection, digital identity, and distributed technologies. She holds a PhD in copyright from the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas. Her PhD thesis, entitled 'Les licences Creative Commons' is forthcoming in L'Harmattan editions.
