Implementation of the EPPO in Belgium: Making the Best of a (Politically) Forced Marriage?

Anne Werding is a part-time assistant at the ULiège and lawyer at the Liège Bar, where she practices criminal law and administrative law. She obtained her Master's degree in 2012 at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), spent a year at the University of Belfast and pursued a Master of comparative law at the Universities of Mannheim and Adelaide (2013, magna cum laude). She currently specialises in economic and financial criminal law (in particular corporate criminal liability) and in European criminal procedure, with a special interest in the European Public Prosecutor's Office. In 2019, she participated in a study on the implementation of the EPPO funded by the Belgian Ministry of Justice.
