About Bianca-Ioana Marcu

Bianca is a PhD Researcher at the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group and the Fundamental Rights Centre (FRC) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She holds an LLM in International Law from Maastricht University, where she specialised in Human Rights and wrote her thesis on asylum seekers’ right to employment in the UK and Greece. Bianca is also a certified Data Protection Officer, and is the Coordinator of the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) conference in Brussels. Her research interests are at the intersection of migration, data protection law, and fundamental rights.
