César Augusto Fontanillo López is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Candidate at the KU-Leuven Center for IT and IP Law (CiTiP), where he conducts research on philosophical, legal, and technical accounts of privacy and data protection as well as on biometric technologies. He studied business administration and management and law at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and at the University of Camilo José Cela. Before joining CiTiP, he worked as a cybersecurity intern at the Inter-American Defense Board, as a lawyer at an international law firm, and conducted research on the intersection of neuroscience and the law at the eLaw Center for Law and Digital Technologies of Leiden University and at the Biomechatronics and Biorobotics Lab of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
