Wild hamsters in the city: how does EU law deal with urban biodiversity?

Hendrik Schoukens is a post-doc researcher at the Department of European, Public and International Law of Ghent University. He received his PhD, which focused on the legal aspects of eco-restoration within EU law, from the same university in 2017. In 2016 he co-edited a handbook on the EU Habitats Directive and he frequently publishes on topics such as EU nature conservation law, access to justice and climate change, both in Dutch and in English.
