Jasper Krommendijk is assistant professor of European law at Radboud University Nijmegen. He holds a PhD from Maastricht University and an LLM from Groningen University. His PhD (2009-2014) dealt with the effectiveness of the recommendations of the six main UN human rights treaty bodies in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Finland. His latest research has focused on the distinction between rights and principles in the Charter of Fundamental Rights as well as the relationship between the ECJ and ECtHR.
