‘Voluntary detection orders’ under the proposed EU Child Sexual Abuse Regulation violate EU (privacy) law

Dr. Sabine K. Witting is an Assistant Professor of Law and Digital Technologies at Leiden University, Center for Law and Digital Technologies (eLaw). Her research focuses on the interaction of fundamental rights, in particular children’s rights, with digital technologies in the EU and in the Global South. She is the co-organiser of a series of expert workshops on the proposed CSA Regulation and has published several reports and articles on the fundamental rights issues associated with the proposed Regulation. Further, she works as child rights & digital technologies consultant for the UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand.
