Svetlana Yakovleva is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) of the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam, a research LL.M. in Information Law from the IViR, an LL.M. in Law and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Hamburg, and a law degree (cum laude) from National Research University – Higher School of Economics (Moscow). Svetlana’s research mainly focuses on the interaction between EU law and international trade law, in particular in the domains of digital trade, data governance and data protection. Svetlana is also a part-time as Senior Legal Adviser at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
