Brendan Van Alsenoy is a legal researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT (ICRI), KU Leuven – iMinds. He holds a law degree from the University of Antwerp, a degree of specialisation in Human Rights from the Facultes Universitaires Saint-Louis and an LL.M. program from the Temple Beasley School of Law. Brendan Van Alsenoy joined ICRI in March of 2007. Since then his research has focused on topics of privacy, data protection, liability,security, identity management, digital evidence and trust services. Brendan Van Alsenoy started his PhD research in January of 2011. The topic of his doctoral thesis is: "Regulating data protection: the allocation of responsibility and risk among actors involved in personal data processing".
